• is devised to give young learners (5 - 8 years) access to the spelling of the most common English words.


• provides plenty of space for children to add their own special words as they write stories, poems, projects and letters.

• presents common English verbs in their main inflections, for example: take, takes, taking, took, taken.


• presents in clusters words beginning with the digraphs 'ch', 'sh', 'th' and 'wh', and oddities such as 'soft g', 'silent k'.


• includes all the common contractions, usually after the root word, for example: there, there's; she, she's, she'll; did, didn't.


• includes numbers in both words and numerals, and in cardinal and ordinal forms.
